PBC Request and Evidence Agent
Builds the request list, chases the client, and checks each document received against what was asked for.
The challenge
Provided-by-client lists drive the engagement timeline, and they slip. Staff send reminders by hand, clients upload the wrong period or half a document, and nobody notices until the tester opens the file a week later.
What the agent does
- Drafts the request list from the audit plan and last year’s list, removing what is no longer needed and adding requests for new risks.
- Sends requests and follows up on a schedule the client agreed to, in a tone the firm has approved.
- Checks each upload on arrival: right entity, right period, complete pages, and whether it agrees to the trial balance where it should.
- Links accepted evidence to the workpaper that needs it and tells the scheduler when a section is ready to start.
Your people stay in control
The engagement manager approves the request list before it is sent. The agent can ask a client to resend, but only staff can waive a request.
Works with
- Client request portals
- Engagement software
- Scheduling and staffing tools
How we measure success
- Days from request to complete evidence
- Share of uploads accepted first time
- Follow-ups sent without staff time
- Sections started on schedule
Kind of work
Coordination across teams. A lead agent splits a large job between specialist agents and brings their work together.
